Organic September 2019 - Your Organic Chocolate Choice

Organic September is a campaign run by the Soil Association, lasting the whole month. It aims to encourage us all to try more organic items and, to promote and educate consumers on organic food farming and farming practises. This includes textiles & organic fashion.

Organic farming promotes soil quality, protects wildlife (and their environments), and the health benefits of eating food grown without the use of harmful pesticides.

A word about organic chocolate... Unlike most foods, buying organic chocolate does not guarantee better tasting chocolate, the flavour profile and quality depends on the variety of cocoa bean used, where the cocoa was grown and its terroir and how the chocolate makers skill from roasting to conching develops its final flavour. Making chocolate requires a great deal of skill with many processes involved. Using good quality organic cocoa is just the start and of course a healthier one for us all and the environment.
