New Dark Chocolate Bars from Valrhona!

There's always a touch of excitement in the office, whenever new single origin chocolate bars arrive, and the latest dark chocolate bars from Valrhona, lived up to all our taste expectations.

Valrhona Araguani 100% cocoa content.
A single-origin dark chocolate bar, made using fine cocoa from Venezuela.

No added sugar, this high end bitter dark chocolate is for the strict, high cocoa dark chocolate lover.

Tasting notes: Vanilla and woody notes.

Valrhona Oriado 60% cocoa content.
A Grand Cru dark chocolate bar, created with a blend of organic cocoa beans from Peru and the Dominican Republic.

A sweet dark chocolate with a creamy mouth feel.

Tasting notes: Sweet with notes of apricot/peach and vanilla. Low roast and little bitterness.

Valrhona Tulakalum 75% cocoa content.
Another single-origin dark chocolate bar, created using cocoa from Belize.

A chocolate offering both deep chocolatey mouth filling notes with a tart fruit edge, reminiscent of cherry.

Tasting notes: A wonderfully wide flavour profile with a lasting finish.

Valrhona - A French master chocolate maker.

Since 1922 the vocation of Valrhona has been to create exceptional gourmet chocolate, while respecting the artisan's know-how and fine French taste. Dedicated to quality, Valrhona selects and purchases its cocoa beans directly from choice plantations, thus securing an exclusive supply of Grand Crus from South America, the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean.

Valrhona was one of the first chocolatiers to describe their chocolate in a similar fashion to wine with the labelling of such creations as grand cru, single origin, single estate and even vintage chocolate. Valrhona is regarded as being amongst the best of the few French chocolate makers today creating their chocolate from bean to bar (cacaofevier).

More recently, Valrhona have added to the luxury chocolate bar range with new, soya lecithin free bars.

The Valrhona Jivara; a high cocoa content, milk chocolate bar with a 40% cocoa content, made from Nacional cocoa from Ecuador.

Smooth tasting, with added malt. Its sweet, creamy texture and light finish make this a very easy eating milk chocolate, made with Ecuadorian cocoa.

Alcohol free. Suitable for vegetarians and now Soya Lecithin free.

In stark contrast, the Valrhona Abinao dark chocolate bar has a powerful lingering intensity.

With its 85% cocoa content, made using Forastero cocoa beans from Africa, it's an attractive dark chocolate bar for those who prefer the higher cocoa contents.

The Abinao is also now Soya Lecithin free.
