Michel Cluizel Mangaro, 65% Dark Chocolate Bar.
The Mangaro is one of 7 single-estate chocolate bars from Michel Cluizel. Highly prized Trinitario cocoa from a single plantation is used to create, what many refer to as possibly the most exotic of all the single estate chocolate bars by Cluizel.
The Trinitario cocoa from the Mangaro plantation in Madagascar, has a well balanced range of citrus fruits with an underlying edge of ginger which gives greater depth and character.
This luxury dark chocolate bar was awarded a prestigious Gold in the 2008 Great Taste Awards. It's soya lecithin free, alcohol free and suitable for vegetarians.
"Despite adoring the new Mokaya single estate bar from Cluizel which I've
just left my review on, this dark chocolate Mangaro bar is still my
favourite. I just adore 'fruity' dark chocolate."
Michel Cluizel Noir Infini, 99% Dark Chocolate Bar.
A high cocoa content chocolate bar for chocolate connoisseurs or those who enjoy reduced sugar chocolate, with a deep, bitter taste.
Michel Cluizel have taken a blend of fine cocoa to produce this exceptional high cocoa content bar. With less than 1% sugar content, it's a very healthy chocolate bar too.
Low acidity & fruit with high bitterness and roast, are the flavour characteristics of this particular bar, made using only 100% cocoa butter and Bourbon vanilla pod. The Noir Infini chocolate bar is also soya lecithin free, alcohol free and suitable for vegetarians.
"This is very nice. One reviewer says they find this bitter. Maybe I'm
too accustomed to dark chocolate but I do not find this very bitter.
What I get is earthy and nutty flavours with a slight metallic taste
which reminds me of raw chocolate. There is a slight caramel taste as
well which is very nice. The addition of vanilla, cinnamon and ginger is
only very small, which I'm thankful for as I do not like cacao
overpowered with vanilla. I only got the 30g bar to try it but next time
I'll be happy to have 70g."
Both chocolate bars are part of our extensive Michel Cluizel range of bean to bar chocolates and chocolate selection boxes. Many of their single origin and single estate chocolates feature within their chocolate selection boxes. There is also a small selection of couvertures available in milk & dark chocolate, for truly mouth watering chocolate desserts.
