Perhaps surprisingly, Callebaut's research has found that many customers have doubts about ordering a dessert, with only 3 out of 10 likely to order.

4 out of 10 are still doubting.

So how can you tempt more customers to choose a dessert? Belgian chocolatiers - Callebaut, have a few suggestions based on their survey results:

• 8 out of 10 would order a dessert if the dessert menu offers more chocolate desserts.
• Those same customers expect 60% of the desserts on the menu to include chocolate.

So spend some time researching new chocolate dessert ideas. As Callebaut's research shows, the results can be very exciting:

• 77% of customers would pay more for their favourite chocolate dessert.
• Sharing desserts appeals to 7 out of 10 diners.

Customer preferences even include the chocolate used in the dessert recipes:

• 7 out of 10 craved desserts made with Belgian chocolate.
• 6 out of 10 prefer desserts made with sustainable chocolate.
• 6 out of 10 customers love to try desserts crafted with Origin chocolate.
