Chocolate for Breakfast
There are lots of ways you can incorporate healthy, dark chocolate into your breakfast. Here's our own Customer Services team member's, personal porridge recipe:
- Half a mug of Porridge Oats (preferably Organic).
- Dark chocolate chips with a 70% cocoa content or more.
- Optional: Blueberries or dried Mango pieces.
Take half a mug of organic porridge oats, add a small sprinkle of dark chocolate chips (callets) - any with a cocoa content of 70% or over, add milk and microwave for 2 minutes in a microwave proof jug (time dependent on strength of microwave - it should be bubbling but not overflowing!).
Stir until it starts to thicken.
The chocolate chips will blend in with the porridge oats as you stir, producing a luxurious chocolate porridge aroma!
For an extra vitality boost, try adding a handful of washed Blueberries or dried Mango pieces.
Chocolate chips can also be sprinkled over any breakfast cereal & work particularly well with Muesli.
We've suggested a cocoa content of 70% or above, but there are many chocolate chips in the high 60% cocoa contents, made with single origin cocoa's and so providing a more unique chocolate taste experience.
