The Chocolate Trading Company is pleased to introduce a new range of superior, single origin, organic chocolate bars that actively support rain forest conservation efforts, from Dutch chocolatier Original Beans.
Founded in 2008 by entrepreneur and conservationist Phillipp Kaufmann, Original Beans are on a mission to plant one tree for every bar of their chocolate purchased, helping to protect and preserve the rainforests for future generations.
So committed to their rainforest safe-guarding initiative are they, that each bar you purchase has a tracking number, letting you see which particular group of trees it has funded.
The fine flavour cocoas used are obtained from some of the rarest varieties of cocoa from Peru to Ecuador, culminating in prestigious, award winning chocolate bars. Today, you’ll find their chocolate used in some of the world’s finest restaurants.
With more coming soon, we have two sumptuous bars for you to try now: The Original Beans Esmeraldas milk & sea salt chocolate bar is exceptionally smooth with a higher than average cocoa content of 42%, which provides a rich taste experience with butter fudge flavours.
We also have the Original Beans Cru Virunga 70% dark chocolate bar: Created from superior organic cocoa with notes of ripe cherries amongst a deep chocolate base and great length of flavour.
It is also the first single-origin chocolate bar to be created from cacoa from war-torn Eastern Congo. This dark chocolate bar is named after the African National Park from where the cocoa itself is grown. The Virunga National Park is perhaps more famously known as home to the last of the Mountain Gorillas.
Two exciting new milk and organic dark chocolate bars, both with a rare depth of conservational heritage, from Original Beans, now available to buy online from The Chocolate Trading Company.
