How will you celebrate National Chocolate Week?

National Chocolate Week runs between October 14th & 20th this year (2019), and there are lots of ways you can join in.

It's a chance to indulge your chocolate cravings and there's usually lots of special events including chocolate tastings, chocolate festivals and chocolate pop-up cafes, to help you celebrate.

Of course, there's plenty you can do at home, on your own, with family or friends, too. Why not invite a few round for an evening of chocolate truffle making or hold your own chocolate tasting evening?

It can be as simple as trying a chocolate bar from a new origin or country. If you usually choose milk chocolate over dark chocolate bars, then why not try a high cocoa content milk chocolate? Reduced sugars and more of a 'cocoa hit' but not the bitterness of dark chocolate.

For chocolate tasting, we have the widest selection of premium chocolate bars from around the world, each with their own tasting notes & flavour profile, to help you choose an interesting selection. Try breaking individual bars up into smaller pieces and hide the bar wrapper underneath the dish. Encourage your guests to describe the flavours to each other, and then have fun guessing where the cocoa was grown etc. There's even a selection of chocolate bar bundles & chocolate bar hampers, to choose from on our website.

National Chocolate Week isn't just for adults. There's plenty of chocolate fun to be had for Children too.

Try hand-made chocolate making or baking. A few simple ingredients, chocolate for melting, a large bowl, some real chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder for dusting and bags of enthusiasm are all it takes. Even plain breakfast cereals can be enlivened with quality chocolate, melted & poured over, for sticky chocolate treats.

Dig out those old lollipop moulds, and with a little cooking chocolate for melting, get everybody making their own chocolate lollipops. (Adults can use dark chocolate, ice cube trays and lollipop sticks to make chocolate stirrers).

Don't forget to share your National Chocolate Week activity pictures with us on our social media sites like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
