Top tips for your next exhibition

There's a saying that "if you go well prepared into the Jungle, the drunken elephant can't fall on you". In other words, however unlikely a problem is to arise, planning is key to overcoming all eventualities and having a successful event.

Here are our Top-Tips for planning your next exhibition:

  • Prepare well in advance.
  • Find out who your stand / exhibition space neighbours will be.
  • Let your audience know you’ll be there.
  • Have some prepared opening questions ready to engage your visitors.
  • Consider offering a more inviting, restful space to the bright glare of other stands.
  • Make sure your visitors take away something to contact you through later.
  • Social Media on the day – engage with visitors – keep it light.
  • Remember to book overnight accommodation well in advance, for your pick of the location & best rates.
  • Make sure any giveaways are branded. Make them useful (or tasty) to avoid them being carelessly discarded.
  • Dress appropriately – it’s a very long day.
  • If you’re promoting a brand or business other than your own, do they have a marketing budget you can access?
  • And always…. Include branded chocolate bars. The ideal visitor give-away. Full colour, digital print & fully printable bar wrapper around high-quality, real Milk or Dark Chocolate.

You could include your logo, company name, contact details, QR codes linking to your products, feedback form, LinkedIn, Instagram or X (Twitter) profiles. Create a unique landing page on your website or social media, themed around the exhibition and the service or product you were promoting.

Perhaps you could even include a gallery of ‘Selfies’ taken with visitors to your stand? It’s a great way to encourage visitors & enquiries long after the exhibition has finished.
