I thought it would be worth a try and it's not great, pretty rough flavours. Although it is cheaper the Pralus 100% and Noir Infini 99%, they are much much better so only go for this if you really need some cheap 100% cocoa chocolate.

This is growing on me. I've now had about 3 bars of this, and initially I didn't like it much at all, thought it was far too harsh and much preferred the Pralus and Noir 99%. However as I get more and more into 100% chocolate, I'm now starting to find the Pralus rather bland, (although still nice and silky) whereas this bar has so many different flavours including some lovely fruity tastes that remind me of plump raisins. So I reckon this is definitely worth persisting with.......

Not as bitter as my favourite Menakao, smoother and more mellow but sometimes that's just what I want and then this really hits the spot. Great depth of flavour, I get a hint of coffee in there. This doesn't have the smoothness of Pralus or Domori but I find them rather bland in comparison. I'll definitely buy again.

All this chocolate evaluation is subjective, but I have tried many 100% bars, and this is without doubt one of the worst. I found it to have a sickly aftertaste which lingered unpleasantly in the mouth. I recommend most highly Bonnat, Madecasse (cheaper at Waitrose...) and Willie's

For me this is the best 100% chocolate there is - and I've tried quite a few! Everything else tastes strangely hollow and bland by comparison. It starts with a good bitter kick - like you'd want a 100% to have - but finishes really smooth and rich and mellow. And in between there's a beautiful complexity of flavour - really full, dark cocoa with a ripe taste like the ripeness of tropical fruit. And on top of all that the company are beyond comparison: a beautiful project with real ethics and vision. Definitely try it!
