At latitude 18⁰ 8’ S, longitude 47⁰ 31’ E, the island of Madagascar off the Eastern coast of Africa, is well placed to produce some of the most sought after cocoa’s in the world.

With its characteristic overtones of red fruits & citrus, chocolate from Madagascar has always had the ability to both, earn loyal follower’s and convert new recruits, to the pleasures of dark chocolate.

Recently added to our list of premium chocolatiers is Chocolaterie Robert, who has been creating fine flavour, bean to bar chocolate wholly produced in Madagascar, since 1940.

5 unique bars made with fine origin chocolate from the Sambirano Valley, these single origin bars provide pronounced flavours and aromas of red fruits and citrus as one would expect of this highly reputable cocoa growing region of North West Madagascar.

Our current online range from Chocolat Madagascar includes a high cocoa content milk chocolate bar (50% cocoa content producing a robust milk chocolate bar with reduced sugars), a high cocoa 100% bar (intensely bitter dark chocolate bar containing no sugar) and 3 other dark chocolate bars with cocoa contents of 85%, 70% and 65% respectively, designed to appeal to a wide range of pallets.

Each bar features a blend of fine Trinitario, Criollo and Forastero cocoa’s, expertly blended to provide a perfect balance between the acidity of fruit overtones and the depth of the cocoa content.
