Swedish born Bertil Akesson grew up in Madagascar surrounded by his families estates and learnt about cocoa from an early age. Managing and developing the families plantations ultimately led to him specialising in fine flavour cocoa and spices, with the ultimate aim to achieve the highest quality of cocoa possible in the most sustainable way. Akesson's now owns cocoa plantations in Madagascar, Brazil and Indonesia, supplying high end chocolatiers and chefs around the world, and of course creating the Akesson's brand of chocolate which we are proud to offer to our customers. Akesson's chocolate bars have achieved numerous prestigious awards and the Akesson's brand name is synonymous world wide with the highest quality chocolate.
