I tried this at a little place called The French Institute in Lancaster. You need to be lucky to get one, though: they only stock it occasionally, and they sell out very fast!
The flavour is powerful and distinctive—a hit of caramel that quickly develops into deeper malty, biscuity notes with an undercurrent of rich toffee. After a few seconds, there's a little surprise: a salty twang that lingers tantalisingly on your tongue. As a bar, it is smooth, creamy and extremely sweet; you would not want to eat a whole bar in one sitting, and if you do not have a sweet tooth you may not enjoy it.
Comparisons with Caramac are inevitable and entirely superficial. Caramac is an amalgam of condensed milk and vegetable fats, with (if memory serves) a texture like firm shortening and very little taste. Dulcey is creamier, sweeter and has a far deeper, more complex flavour.

A dream chocolate - creamy, a bit salty-caramel, and above all not cloyingly sweet. Just perfect!

This is an incredible chocolate bar. Currently my favourite Valrhona bar. An absolute must buy.

Quite a different chocolate. I wasn't sure what I was expecting really. Its definitely a white' chocolate, but its not (as obviously its blonde). I say this as its sweet like a white, but not quite as sweet as familiar bigger brands. Whats ost striking though its the biscuity flavour that comes through after its melted a little. Very unusual. i don't think I'd buy regularly for eating off the block, but can imagine this would work amazingly in patisserie products and bonbons.

I really did enjoy this chocolate bar. It was very nice and had strong caramel taste well balanced not to sweet or sickly in any way. Although this did leave me in doubt whether or not I could tell the difference between this and the caramac bars that it resembles. Would I get this again yeee you bet i would just getting some more now.
