I was really interested to read a previous review where the reviewer was using these chocolate shavings to make a hot chocolate drink. I've only ever used them for a rougher texture than chocolate curls, when decorating cakes.
As I had some dark shavings spare, I thought I'd give the hot chocolate drink a go. It took a bit of experimenting but i found the best results by using a heaped tablespoon (old fashioned size) of slightly crushed shavings and whisking them into hot milk. For that coffee shop experience, I topped with squirty cream and a sprinkle of the shavings. Absolutely divine!
