Valrhona's new vintage

Valrhona are releasing a new vintage estate bar 'El Pedregal' to replace the now discontinued Palmira. This exciting new vintage 2011 chocolate bar is created from the world famous Porcelana cocoa bean and certainly meets all expectations.

We have tasted this soon to be released chocolate and were very impressed with its depth and length of flavour. We know you are all waiting to try this and we will be the first to receive the shipment from France at the beginning of October so if you would like to reserve a bar now we have made it a 'Pre-Order' item on the website. We have no confirmed dates for delivery other than the beginning of October but those customers pre-ordering will be the first to receive.

The Taste

This new vintage chocolate bar from Valrhona is created from the very special Porcelana cocoa (form of Criollo cocoa) and as such offers up a wonderful flavour profile. A very creamy dark chocolate with notes of dried fruits and honey. Perfectly balanced with slight acidity and great depth of flavour. Ends with a touch of liquorice and prune. Oustanding length of taste.

The Estate

El Pedregal is the name of a new estate in Venezuela that Valrhona has dedicated entirely to the Porcelana cocoa. An almost extinct variety of cocoa producing precious beans known throughout the world for their superior flavour.
