I buy valrhona chocolate all the time online (here of course) and the tanariva bar definitely does have more of a caramel flavour to it compared to the Jivara which is a milder milk chocolate. It would be nice to see Valrhona create a higher cocoa milk chocolate like Bonnat and Michel Cluizel also. Maybe it's already in the pipeline... anyway I love it and its one of my favourites now.

After seeing that Heston blumenthal recommended this website and in particular this tanariva bar I'm in heaven. I have ordered this one and a a few from each of the different chocolate makers. Amedei chuao. Michel Cluizel, pralus. Can't wait for my chocolate delivery guys!

Yes he has had quite a bit of publicity lately hasn't he although I lost interest in his cooking programme when he used a hoover?? Can't remember what it was for but I just thought, yeh right thats practical. Anyway he did recommend this Valrhona bar and also raves about Amedei (who doesn't). I think this Tanariva bar (getting to the point now) is kinda nice but its a bit lacking when compared to other chocolate makers, although Im a texture person and I love the extra smooth melt. It isn't one for the full on fruity chocolate lovers as its correct in its description as being caramel notes.
