Willies chocolate - Ginger lime dark chocolate bar

A pleasant bar with notes of ginger and lime, but not so overpowering as to take away from the flavour of the chocolate itself. The chocolate tasted like it had a higher cocoa content than the 70% indicated but this may be how all cocoa from Sierra Leone tastes? This bar would suit those who enjoy higher cocoa content bars and a small piece was very satisfying. Good value for chocolate of this quality.

Didn't really realise just how small this was going to be but that a side I will still leave an honest review based upon my findings. The bar its self comes in a small square block, and once nibbled you can tell that it has a hint of lime and and a hint of ginger. However I found that these flavours where only somewhat traces of as I would of preferred a bit more ginger and lime. The dark chocolate its self was just too bitter for my liking and quickly overwhelmed any sensation of the lime and ginger really spoiling the moment.

Got to say though if ever your filling your basket with goodies this might be something that you would like to add just to give a try.

Greater depth of flavour from the cocoa used and the warming spice notes provided by the ginger are perfectly cut through by the addition of lime. The box promises layers of exotic flavours and the chocolate did not disappoint.

I was keen to try Willies Chocolate, especially as he is a British bean to bar chocolate maker, and was pleased to find it available to buy online from The Chocolate Trading Co.

The ginger & lime flavours in this dark chocolate bar work well with the single origin dark chocolate (from Sierra Leone no less).

Great choice, reasonably priced and super-fast delivery (for those of us that can't wait for our chocolate).
