Description

The Noir Infini chocolate bar is for the strict connoisseur with a deep and very bitter taste.

With a serious 99% cocoa content this dark chocolate bar also appeals to those preferring a chocolate with reduced sugar content. Cluizel is well revered for his high cocoa content chocolate and this chocolate bar is his highest. Less than 1% sugar content. A very healthy chocolate bar.

2A little disappointing

To respond to Guy, it contains a small quantity of sugar: slightly short of 1%, in fact it's a 99%, not a 100%. You can find it if you look at the nutritional facts per 100g, otherwise it's rounded down to 0 in the amount per serving.

It's not my favourite, I'd dare to say that evn Lindt 99% is better than this.

On the other hand, I appreciate this comes in a thin bar, while several 100% bars are much thicker.

3Worth a try

Okay - would be nicer without the spices - the chocolate would be nice without them. Also, the label lists the second ingredient as sugar, but lists carbohydrates ad sugars both as zero. That can't be right...

5Absolute perfection!

This is very nice. One reviewer says they find this bitter. Maybe I'm too accustomed to dark chocolate but I do not find this very bitter. What I get is earthy and nutty flavours with a slight metallic taste which reminds me of raw chocolate. There is a slight caramel taste as well which is very nice. The addition of vanilla, cinnamon and ginger is only very small, which I'm thankful for as I do not like cacao overpowered with vanilla. I only got the 30g bar to try it but next time I'll be happy to have 70g.

5Absolute perfection!

This is a really fantastic chocolate, the Pralus 100% is smoother, but this has a greater depth of flavour. Now that the Pralus is about the same price this is my favourite out of the two. If you haven't tried 100% cocoa chocolate before then you need to take very small pieces each day for a few days until your palate adjusts.

3Worth a try

gosh this chocolate bar is bitter and I bought it because of the health benefits of dark chocolate, or to be precise cocoa, you read about and at 99% cocoa its certainly doing the job and so I have rated it 'worth a try'. I wouldn't buy it again as its just too bitter for my taste although my friend loved it and certainly seemed to enjoy it as she made an order the following week. A little a day she recommended to get the benefits to lowering cholesterol. We shall see.
