Chocolate curls are one of the simplest forms of cake decoration and particularly useful when used in conjunction with chocolate cigarellos which are placed around the side of the cake.

I used these chocolate curls to top a cake lined with the chocolate cigarellos I aso bought online here. They give a great finish and hide any gaps around the side of the cake (the cigarellos height just needs to be proud of the cake top to hold them in) without fiddling. So quick and easy.
