Belgian high quality, dark chocolate cigarellos (cigarillos) for the decoration of celebration cakes, desserts and ice cream. Chocolate cigarellos are particularly popular for decorating wedding cakes. Each chocolate cigarello is approximately 10cm length x 1cm diameter. As seen on Lorraine Pascales TV show 'Baking Made Easy'.

How many chocolate cigarellos will I need?

For placing the chocolate cigarellos vertically around the side of a cake you first need to measure the circumference of the cake or tin in cm's. As each chocolate cigarello is around 1cm width you will require the same number. Plus some extra to allow for size variances in the chocolate cigarellos and any possible breakages.

Box contents are approximate as are packed by weight and can vary with each box, by 10.

If you are working in inches; 1 inch is equal to 2.54cm (2.5 chocolate cigarellos).

Round cake tin quick guide (round cake tins always state the diameter, not circumference);

6 inch round cake - requires approximately 65 chocolate cigarellos
7 inch round cake - requires approximately 75 chocolate cigarellos
8 inch round cake - requires approximately 84 chocolate cigarellos
9 inch round cake - requires approximately 95 chocolate cigarellos
10 inch round cake - requires approximately 103 chocolate cigarellos

Square cake tin guide (square tins are measured length & breadth)

6" square cake - requires approximately 60 chocolate cigarellos
7" square cake - requires approximately 70 chocolate cigarellos
and so on with a ratio of 10 cigarellos per inch increase.

Absolute perfection!

I have just received delivery of these today which is great as I ordered at 3.30pm yesterday! The cigarellos and delivery was extremely well packaged and only one cigarello appears to have flaked a little which is a relief as I am decorating my cake today for my friends anniversary. The chocolate tastes amazing (i had too) and I look forward to using my loyalty points on further orders. Love this website by the way and look forward to seeing more decorations which I'm told are being included soon!!

Chocolate cigarellos do not require refridgeration.

Minimum Best Before date: 5 months.

Refridgeration is not advised unless there is no alternative to cool storage as high moisture levels within a fridge may affect the presentation. Place in an airtight container to avoid this.
Ideally stored in a cool, dry, dark place. Below 20 degrees centigrade and treated like any other store cupboard/pantry item.
As chocolate cigarellos are fragile we advise to not place any other objects on top of the box in storage and to handle carefully to avoid any breakages.
