My favourite chocolate bar. IMO Amedei get the best from the Chuao cocoa bean. A really fruity dark chocolate that smells divine. You'll know what I mean if you buy one as the aroma is quite strong.

Yes it is very special, very fruity and quite suprising its so sweet and fruity for a 70% dark chocolate. I think the other amedei bars are equally lovely however and so the price would perhaps put my off buying again, on my budget, and i suppose you are paying for the fact it's so rare. I would recommend to those dark chocolate lovers who like a really fruity experience and without the bitterness and more robust flavours found in some origin bars.

This chocolate is like a sweet Speyside whisky: floral, fruity, honeyed but still knocks you out. Chuao is one of those rare chocolates of which it is impossible to get tired. Due to its complexity and harmony of its flavours, from light whirling fruitiness to deeper chocolate notes, this taste is something you already want to return to when the gentle trace of the flavour has hardly left your tongue. An addictive precious treat for your senses; inimitable, unforgettable.

The best Chuao ever, and I've tried most of them out there. So light & fruity, yet extremely chocolatey and completely irresistible. It is a special pleasure experience eating this bar, and worth every penny. Amedei know how to make chocolate. A chocolate lovers must have!

Seems to be a different bar from what it was in 2012! Not as well balanced or finished as it used to be, or maybe my bar this time just wasn't from a great batch? The Pralus Chuao that I compared it with this week was far superior to this Amedei one for me, but the Amedei was still worth having a taste of.
