Description

A very mellow, dark chocolate bar from Bonnat providing notes of violet and walnut. Very low acidity but quite sweet, surprisingly so for a 75% dark chocolate.

The Haiti offers a very low roast and again mild flavour for a 75% bar. Easy eating and suited to most tastes.

About Bonnat Chocolatier

The Bonnat family has been creating chocolates since 1884 from the town of Voiron in France. Bonnat is the oldest family-run chocolate company in France today and is steeped in history and thrives on its family traditions and nostalgia. Bonnat has changed very little along the way compared to many brands but has continued to expand the Bonnat brand throughout the world. It was Raymond Bonnat who in the early 1980’s began the pioneering approach of making the single origin chocolate bars at Bonnat we see today. Many of these 'Grand Crus' have won prestigious awards around the world.

4You really must try this

Bonnat's Haiti bar is another mild tasting bar, considering its upper cocoa content of 75%. Packaged extremely well and arrived on time.

4You really must try this

I really enjoyed this chocolate bar and I certainly got the violet note. The flavour reminded me of those small purple sweets you used to get - Palma Violets?. So subtly perfumed and not at all bitter to my taste. A new origin for me as well.
